10 reasons Autumn is a Fantastic Time to Visit Aspen

What is the first thing that comes to mind when you think of Aspen? If you thought winter sports, you’re not alone. What about the second? Probably some sort of summer sport or activity. Aspen is a hub for winter and summer sports, but what most people don’t often realize is that fall is a fantastic time to visit Aspen. If you’re looking for a relaxing getaway that entails beautiful colors, cozy fires, chunky sweaters, leisurely hikes and crisp apples, Aspen is the place to be. Here are 10 great reasons to visit Aspen this fall:

  1. Topping the list- to no one’s surprise- is Aspen’s spectacular foliage. As one of the top locations in the country to see breathtaking fall colors, Aspen is aptly named after the abundance of Aspen trees that populate the area. The leaves turn from a rich green to vibrant reds, golds, and oranges. You can take a hike or drive through Maroon Bells to see these colors, or if you’re looking for a more extreme experience Aspen offers paragliding adventures that show off the area’s pristine scenery from above.
